The Royal Lawn Tennis Club (RLTC), based in Cordenons, Italy, is a private members' sporting club. Sports played at the club include tennis (although the club itself does not have any tennis courts inside its grounds) and "bounce", or "garden tennis", a version of tennis played on a smaller court and with slightly changed rules (such as shorter sets and five-set matches only for final matches).

The President of the RLTC is Turcìa Coledá, and Lüc da Schir is currently serving as Head Groundsman. The RLTC counts five members and a number of honorary members. The RLTC's purpose is popularizing tennis inside Talossa, and the creation of a Talossan Tennis Tournament. Eventually, the RLTC plans to expand in Talossa and build somewhere in the GTA a new club with both tennis and bounce/garden-tennis courts.

It is also compulsory for prospective members to declare grass as the best tennis surface when applying for membership.

The Club was founded in 2012 with Court No.1 as the only facility available. Court No.2 was added in 2013, although no major match is played there. Court No.3 was first used in 2014.

Every year between August and December, depending on the weather and the climate, the RLTC hosts the Royal Green Championships, the premier bounce/garden-tennis tournament in the world.

Facilities

The RLTC boasts three bounce courts, Court No.1 and No.2 (grass) and Court No.3 (synthetic). Court No.1 was resurfaced in May 2014 with a mixture of perennial ryegrass and red fescue, to allow for higher and regular bounces while still playing "fast" as any grass court should. Court No.3 is not used permanently but can host a synthetic surface or a natural clay court. The grass is cut to 1 cm. The largest court is Court No.1, which hosts most of the matches of the Royal Green.

Tennis

The activities of the Club include tennis, although the RLTC does not own any court. Members of the club train at Tennis Club Pordenone, which has five covered clay courts and a synthetic grass court, Pasch Tennis Court in Cordenons (a single cement court) and San Quirino Tennis Court (a single synthetic grass court). Some members also play at Eurosporting, a tennis venue in Cordenons which hosts Italy's second-best tennis tournament with five clay courts (including a 2500-seater show court), eight indoor fast hardcourts and two synthetic grass courts.

Royal Green

Every year between August and December, depending on the weather and the climate, the RLTC hosts the Royal Green Championships, the premier bounce/garden-tennis tournament in the world. Three editions have been played so far.
