The function of the Civil Service is to appoint and dismiss Permanent Secretaries within the cabinet ministries as well as other non-political appointees as appropriate. The Commissioner of the Civil Service is appointed by the King after the Cosa has approved the Civil Service Committee's recommendation by at least 2/3 of the chamber.
