Nomination of a Seneschal
After the election and during the certification period, the Progressive Alliance and IDT announced a coalition agreement to form a government.[1] At the same time, IDT leader Mximo Malt made some provocative statements that drew broad condemnation, and resulting in a termination of the agreement before it could come into effect.[2] Subsequently, the IDT agreed to a confidence and supply agreement in which they would not have a role in Cabinet or policy, and a letter of majority and petition to the king that requested the appointment of Baron Alexandreu Davinescu was presented on 17 Dec 2025/XLVI.[3] This was Davinescu's second term as Seneschal, returning after more than a decade to the office.
