Siervicül Cabinet
The cabinet led by Seneschal Sir Cresti Siervicül, UrN came to power on 28 March 2016/XXXVII after elections to the 49th Cosa, when Sir Cresti was appointed by His Majesty King John. He took over from Carlüs Xheraltescu. The other ministers were appointed on 4 April.
Sir Cresti's party, the RUMP, which was led by Sir Alexandreu Davinescu, UrN came second in the elections, but managed to form a coalition with the MRPT led by Lüc da Schir and the newly formed TNC, led by Breneir Itravilatx.
According to the Free Democrats's Miestrâ Schivâ, talks were also held between her party and both the MRPT and the RUMP individually; the MRPT ruled out any arrangment that was not a formal coalition, which the Free Democrats had explicitly campaigned against, while the RUMP's membership voted down a draft deal that had been agreed to by the two leaderships. Both options would have yielded a Cosa majority.
The coalition parties had 127 seats in the Cosa, with a majority of 54; and five out of eight Senators belonged to either the MRPT or the RUMP. Notably, the RUMP had a plurality in the Cosa among coalition parties, but the MRPT had a plurality in the Senate.
Sir Cresti's tenure ended on 1 January 2017/XXXVIII after the elections to the 50th Cosa, when he resigned in favour of his Distain, da Schir.
