34RZ12 — The Table of Precedence Act
WHEREAS, some confusion exists concerning the proper order of precedence for official state functions, and
WHEREAS, Talossans generally delight in titles, honours and other pompous things, and
WHEREAS, a Table of Precedence would greatly enhance the official life of the Kingdom, while allowing for a smoother functioning of gala Talossan events,
THEREFORE the Ziu hereby establishes the following Table of Precedence:
- The King
- The Queen
- Children of the Sovereign in birth order
- The Prime Minister
- Senior Justice of the Uppermost Cort
- The Mencei of the Senate
- The Speaker of the Cosâ
- The members of the nobility and knighthood in order of their rank and tenure
- Cabinet members according to the seniority of their ministries
- The Secretary of State
- Provincial Constables
- Premiers of Provinces
- Puisne Justices of the Uppermost Cort in order of their appointment.
- Senators
- MCs
- Admiral of the Talossan Royal Navy
- Speakers of the various provincial legislatures in order of their appointment
- Provincial Cabinet members in order of their date of appointment
- Members of Provincial legislatures
- Recipients of Talossan Honours
- Talossan citizens in order of their naturalisation
- This Table of Precedence shall be followed in any circumstances where it is deemed appropriate or desirable to do so. Amendments to the Table of Precedence may be made from time to time as may be necessary.
