The Electoral Registration Act
Political parties, if they wish to be on the ballot of a federal election, must submit the following: An official advertisement measuring 10x7cm, and 50-word (or less) description of the party's programme, and a fee of $1.00 to help pay for the cost of producing and mailing ballots to citizens. No party may appear on the ballot without registering.
