The University of Talossa was charged with providing educational opportunities and recognizing achievement in Talossan academic studies and accomplishments.  While it claimed authority over the campus in Atatürk Province (better known as the [[w:University_of_Wisconsin-Milwaukee|University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee]]), it only actively managed the operation of an online extension college.  The athletic and academic mascot of the University was the Fighting Squirrel.
