The Organic Law was first approved in a referendum held in July 1997/XVIII, and was extensively changed when the Ziu approved and the people ratified in a referendum, held in November 2019/XL, the Still Into This Amendment amending the whole text. The new text came into effect the 1st of March 2020/XLI.
