The General Cort is the lower court of the Kingdom of Talossa, established by Title G of el Lexhatx. It supplanted the Magistracy, which was eliminated in 2014/XXXV. Any citizen who has satisfied the Avocat-Xheneral of "their knowledge of Talossan law and jurisprudence, and of their good character," may be recommended to the Cort Pü Inalt or His Majesty for appointment to sit as a judge on the General Cort. Such a judge is referred to as a "community jurist."
