6RC34
The Official Languages (Amendment) Act
The Official Languages Act of July, 1986, is hereby repealed.
Article VII of the Organic Law is also repealed.
In their place the following is accepted:
"The Talossan language, as the national language, shall be the first official state language. English is accepted as the working language of the governmnet. French and German are accepted as the languages of minority communities, and government documents drafted specifically for consideration within those communities shall be prepared in the language of the community. All national election ballots are to be published in Talossan and English, with Talossan on top. A Ministry of Language Affairs is hereby created, to be chaired by Robert Madison. The Government shall encourage the learning and cultivation of the National Language through all appropriate but non-complusory means."
