Joke Maneuvering is a Talossa political ploy, in which a political party is registered in order to take advantage of a humorous joking vote for Cosa. It first occurred in 1992/XIII when Dan Lorentz and Josh Macht registered the Mickey Mouse Movement after a citizen voted (mockingly) for Mickey Mouse, the popular Disney icon. Later, King Ben registered the None Party for the same purpose.

This tactic has fell out of favor with the establishment of the Real Cosa (in which a single vote, joking or not, was unlikely to grant a seat), and has remained in disuse during subsequent 200-seat Cosas thanks to the establishment of a registration fee for national parties, which has made it prohibitively expensive.
