The incumbent senator C. Carlüs Xheraltescù resigned his seat on November 12 for personal reasons.
No by-election was held because of administrative confusion between the National and Provincial chanceries. As the only declared candidate, Gödafrïeu Valcádac'h was declared Senator unopposed by the Provincial chancery. No complaints were raised.
