Weston Erni appointed his first Cabinet upon succeeding to Frédéric Corïu, on 26 September 1986.

Erni had already been de facto leading Talossa's government as Corïu's Distain, as Corïu lived near Paris and could not actively take part in Talossan discussions, other than by correspondence. Additionally, the pre-Cybercit "vote by mail" system for Ziu business and the Clark had both not been introduced yet.

Other than Erni as Seneschal, the Government included William Renzi as Foreign Minister, Art Verbotten as Culture Minister, Harry Madison as Finance Minister and Ben Madison as Interior Minister (not to be confused with the current iteration of the Ministry).
