Talossa lays claim (as the Pengöpäts Antarctic Territory) to that part of Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica which is not claimed by any other sovereign nation under the Antarctic Treaty System. This territory lies between 90°W and 150°W longitude, between the Chilean and New Zealand Antarctic claims. Its inhabitants are few, and mostly penguins. It remains the only part of Talossan territory that no Talossan has ever seen.

The climate in Pengöpäts is typically very cold, which aids in maintaining the thick and distinctive coating of ice that cloaks the never-seen Pengöpäts landmass. The low level of rainfall in Péngöpäts means that it is Talossa's only desert territory. In fact, it is the coldest, driest, and windiest place in Talossa (and the world).
