Sebastian Panache (b. < 1990, in some rural wasteland you've never heard of) is an obscure, rank-and-file paper shuffler who supplements his lack of a significant real life through an infinitely more rewarding virtual existence on the Intertubes.
He also adores writing about himself, particularly in a third person narrative.
In addition to being the Editor-in-Chief of a semi-popular Canadian satirical publication, he...
Sorry. We thought there would be more there.
He's an experienced MediaWiki administrator, having been a sysop and bureaucrat on various wikis since 2005, and run a number of them on his own private hosting for his own enjoyment. Yes, enjoyment. He also loves developing websites with Drupal, and watching people's eyes glaze over and enter into walking comas as he explains precisely why.
Having exhausted his interest in the conventional governments readily available to him, he applied for citizenship in 2013.
He strongly believed then, as now, that rather than pretend to exist independently of his geographical country, it made sense, in a nonsensical kind of way, to formally become a member of another nation while enjoying the convenience of:
- not actually having to sell his house and move
- keeping his existing job
- continuing to blend into the surrounding population which he will inhabit physically, though not mentally
For the record, he appreciated the delay in responding to his request to apply, and the subsequent loss of paperwork which set the process back 6 months. It was long enough to suggest an underlying bureaucratic process (very authentic!) though not so long as to lose its comparative advantage over similar application processes in his past with conventional government.
