A Write-in vote is a vote cast by an eligible voter in a Talossan General Election for a specific individual or Political party that is not listed as a registered candidate or party respectively on the ballot paper. Such a vote may be cast if the voter's desired party or candidate is not on the ballot paper or in cases where a registered candidate does not wish to vote for himself. Such votes are rare in Talossan elections, however, the most recent example being Mick Preston's vote for Danihel Lauréir in the election for the Senator of Maritiimi-Maxhestic. Preston was running unopposed.
