Independence Day, observed on December 26th, recognizes Talossa's secession from Milwaukee in 1979.[1]
In a move reminiscent of other celebrated creations, Ben Madison created the foundation of an independent, sovereign country in seven days, establishing its name, geography, national anthem, coat of arms, flag and national motto.
