Tímoþi Txec Max Asmourescu (b. 5 April 1985) is a former Talossan citizen who served as a Puisne Justice on the Uppermost Court, an Admiral and senior officer in the Talossan Navy. Asmourescu also held the Well-Met Fellowship in the College of Arms. He was a member of the ZRT Republican caucus within the Free Democrats of Talossa political party until his renunciation of citizenship in early 2016.

Biography

T.M. Asmourescu first became a Talossan citizen on 22 December 2006/XXVII and was assigned residency within the Benito province. Mr. Asmourescu was commissioned in the Royal Talossan Navy in June 2007 with the rank of Captain. Captain Asmourescu transferred to the reserves, briefly, to serve as Minister of Defence under Seneschal Ieremiac'h Ventrutx in the 39th Cosa. He returned to active duty following his resignation.

As Senior Officer and Minister of Defense, Capt. Asmourescu drafted legislation to improve the administration of the Talossan military. His key pieces of legislation as a Member of Cosa included:

♦ 37RZ13-Military Honours Act (established awards and ribbons for members of the military)
♦ 39RZ1-The Military Reserve Reformation Act (allowed reserve service for Admirals)
♦ 39RZ4-The BOHICA Act (established a system of disciplinary measures as well as military discharges and retirement)

He was appointed to the rank and post of Admiral on November 29, 2011 pursuant to 35RZ32.

While continuing his Naval Service (such that it is), he was appointed to the Ministry of Justice by Seneschal Litz Cjantscheir. During that time, he was also appointed to the bench on the Magistrate's Court. As Attorney General, he sought to reform the legal system through drafting key pieces of legislation including:

♦ 42RZ4-The Clerk of Courts Act (establishes the office of Clerk of Courts)
♦ 42RZ5-The Legal Representation Act (establishes guidelines for legal representation)
♦ 43RZ2-The Legal Appeals Act (Clarifies the appeals process.‡)
♦ 43RZ15-The Judicial Retirement Act (Allows for a retirement process for Justices and Magistrates)
♦ 43RZ28-The Bernard P. Fife Act (establishes a deputy position for the Clerk of Courts)
‡After passage of the legal appeals act, Admiral Asmourescu became aware of an inconsistency with Organic Law and cautions its application.

On the 19th July 2013/XXXIV, T.M. Asmourescu renounced his Talossan citizenship.[1] In December of that same year, Asmourescu returned to Talossa. Noting that no writ of termination had ever been issued, he challenged the validity of his original renunciation. An acting Deputy Secretary of State issued a backdated writ of termination, prompting Asmourescu to file suit. On January 2, Justice Ian Tamoran nullified the writ and affirmed the citizenship of Admiral Asmourescu, thus securing his return.

Personal life

Admiral Asmourescu resides in the U.S. state of New York with his wife, daughter and two cats. He is a Freemason under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of New York.

Awards and Honours

Legal Issues

In 2015, Asmourescu alleged that, while seated as Puisne Justice of the Uppermost Cort, he had privately conspired with Ma La Mha, Count of Thord, to conceal his involvement in the investigation of Eiric Börnatfiglheu so that he could rule on the case as a Justice at a future date. He publicly released numerous private chat logs to support his accusations. He entered into a plea agreement in exchange for turning state's evidence. The case was dismissed during the summer of 2015 and Asmourescu's plea agreement was thrown own by then-Magistrate Owen Edwards who further dismissed all charges against Asmourescu, while leaving open the possibility of future prosecution. Asmourescu resigned his membership in the Royal Talossan Bar and all other offices following the revelation of the chat logs.

Asmourescu renounced his citizenship on February 23, 2016 with the Secretary of State recognizing the renunciation that same day.[2]
