Past Clark Page
Hi, just noticed this in the recent changes.
I've been working on these:
*November 2011 Clark
*43rd Cosa
*General Election
*Chancery

:I had no idea someone else was working on the same thing otherwise I would have asked you how I could help before I started doing my own thing. :) Anyways, what I am trying to compile here is more of a template for other Clarks, and perhaps all of them (the final results anyway) could be displayed on one page. I thought that displaying each Clark separate would take a lot of time and a lot of links. I love the 43rd Cosa page you currently have--that was one of the things I was going to work on next, and yours looks fantastic! :D As for the November 2011 Clark page you have, the votes are great (I was going to make a separate, linked page for all past votes, and you could click on "RC" and see the Roll Call entry in the Cosa or Senate for that particular act.) and everything else is as well. I would love to help you out on this project, but I first would like your input on compiling everything in one page rather than six pages for each Cosa. ::Likewise, I would have spoke with you about this if I had known someone else was working on the same thing.  We're here now :). I can see what your aiming for with the one page, I like the expand/collapse function your working on.  I was making multiple pages only because I could not think of a neat way to put so much information on one page.  I'm not sure what you mean by the roll call.  I guess it depends on how people would usually browse such info.  For example, you seem to be hinting towards looking at bill names and then checking how someone voted on one bill, is that right?  I don't usually browse like that, I prefer seeing the entire clark table at a glance, but only because I've got used to that system that the SOS uses. :::Hmm...I see your point about the Roll Call votes. That was just an idea I had, but it would probably take much longer to make a separate vote table for each bill. I do like your format for the vote table. We could export your table from the November 2011 Clark page into the Past Clarks page (and make it collapsible as well haha). Should the format of the results (i.e. S:r Canun's "final results" declaration) be changed or do you think it is fine where it is at? If we can work together on this, and get a template hashed out for the whole thing, then we could export the template to an actual page, split up, and get to work on bringing in the tons of Clark information. (You take # - #, and I'll take # - #.) Finally, we have to make yet another page, collapsible and link-able, for all the bills that were not passed into law, and link those up with all the Clarks. What do you think? Dient (talk) 10:57, 10 July 2012 (CDT)
::::Sounds ideal.  I was wondering if putting the table in a collapse was possible, if it is, then that would be great.  Yeah, one page with collapse, sub collapse sections.  So a section for Clarks of 43rd, collapsing into susections for the voting tables and also the final results.  that way one can quickly use the contents box to find the appropriate cosa number, then clark number, then expand out the voting table or the final certified results.  Think I repeated myself there lol.  Also agree, we need to have links to pages of laws that were voted on but failed the houses.  the current digest of laws is good, but ive always been annoyed that the unpassed bills have always been missing.  we probably need a section for such pages, seperate, but linking into these clark lists somehow.  It's always good to go back to these bills to assess why they did not pass so that a legislator can take a second bash at improving such ideas for future clarks.  regarding time to build and link tables.. I have found that all the time is spent on the first table.  each table or page thereafter is quick quick to copy paste and edit.  so where are we?  first thing, get my table built into some kind of template and build it into your collapse and expand system?Eðo_Grischun (talk) 11:10, 10 July 2012 (CDT)

I had no idea someone else was working on the same thing otherwise I would have asked you how I could help before I started doing my own thing. :) Anyways, what I am trying to compile here is more of a template for other Clarks, and perhaps all of them (the final results anyway) could be displayed on one page. Likewise, I would have spoke with you about this if I had known someone else was working on the same thing.
