RT Radio is a Talossan podcast / live broadcast station.

Personalities

The current broadcast staff is comprised of co-founders Txosuè Éiric Rôibeardescù, Sevastáin Pinátsch, and Lüc da Schir. Each is responsible for writing and producing their own contributions.

Rôibeardescù, who originally announced the RT Radio project and sought partners, came to the project with years of amateur experience, having used Internet radio broadcasting applications like SAM Broadcaster for some time. Pinátsch was employed as a professional radio announcer and disc jockey for three years, though he declined to undertake it as a permanent career due to the rate of pay and nomadic nature of the work.

Response

The debut of the station was well-received, and the subject of an article in Beric'ht Talossan. In his review, Alexandreu Davinescu wrote:[2]

"The Pinátsch piece, an amusing meditation on the dedicated cultures of different chain coffee-shops, was recorded at a professional level, with excellent sound quality and a practicedly expressive voice. It resembled nothing so much as one of the amusing shorts that sometimes accompany the American radio program The Moth (carried on WUWM 89.7 in the GTA). It was an impressive lead-in to Rôibeardescù's news service, which covered the current age debate and the introduction of two new features in Beric'ht Talossan."

Criticisms

The political affiliation of two of the station's co-founders and a party political broadcast on behalf of the MRPT led to questions about the possibility of partisanship at the station, with Alexandreu Davinescu suggesting that "it seems as though it will become necessary for other parties to join the airwaves – or risk letting the MRPT have absolute dominance in an entire media."[2] In response, Rôibeardescù (himself a member of the Liberal Congress) replied "We have no prime affiliation with the MRPT; we have received a few other Party broadcast[s], but for the sake of fairness, we will be only releasing one PPB from each party, with our weekly broadcast."[3]
