Gödafrïeu Válcadác'h was sworn in as Prime Minister on 25 June 2002; he had been serving as Michael Pope's Distain since March of that year; Pope too had taken office as Distain of the previous incumbent, Tamorán dal Navâ. The swearing-in happened at Grecian Delight in the presence of the King, Puisne Justice Art Verbotten, Xhéralt Conâ and Ián von Metáiriâ, and was done as prescribed in the Organic Law, reciting the oath in Talossan on the book "The Loom of Language", for the first time since 1995.

This was the last Progressive Conservative majority government, and the last overall until the Von Buchholtz Cabinet.
