Gödafrïeu Válcadác'h S.H., often referred to as GV, is a citizen of the Kingdom of Talossa. A two-time Seneschal of both the Kingdom and the Republic, he currently serves as Scribe of Abbavilla and Royal Archivist as well as the Senator representing Fiôvâ. Additionally, he previously served as Governor of Maricopa and Capitáin of Fiôvâ as well as a Member of Cosâ, and even as Immigration Minister for a short time during his spell as Seneschal in 2002, succeeding Xheralt Curga.
Biography
Kingdom (2000-2004)
Válcadác'h became a Talossan citizen on 5 August 2000 and was originally assigned to the province of Maricopa; his citizenship was granted during a Living Cosa at Ián von Metáiriâ's home. Initially a member of the Progressive Conservatives, he served as Seneschal for that party between mid-2002 and the whole of 2003, with a single month break, that 'break' coming as a result of the Halloween Crisis. He had been serving as Distain, and took over follwoing Michael Pope's resignation on June 25.
Válcadác'h was sworn in personally by Robert I at Grecian Delight, in the presence of Puisne Justice Art Verbotten as a representative of the Uppermost Court, Xheralt Conâ and Ián von Metáiriâ. This was the first time since 1995 that the swearing-in had happened in person on Talossan soil.
During his term, Válcadác'h estabilished by Prime Dictate the office of Scribe of Abbavilla in response to John Minot's sudden resignation as Attorney-General and exit from Talossa entirely; that office used to also handle the Scribe's duties of keeping the "official" versions of the lawbooks up to date.
Republic
On 1 June 2004, he renounced his citizenship to become one of the founders of the Talossan Republic. Válcadác'h wrote the book A Nation Sundered about the experience, chronicling the events that led to the schism and its aftermath.
Post-Reunision
He returned to the Kingdom during the events of Reunision, serving as Minister of Home Affairs in the Da Dhi Cabinet and as Minister of STUFF in the Plätschisch Cabinet. He was a member of the ZRT and is now in the Free Democrats. Most notably, Válcadác'h has served as Royal Archivist ever since his return, and has also served as Scribe of Abbavilla since June 2018.
On account of his long and distinguished tenure as a citizen, Válcadác'h was awarded the Senatorial Medal of Honour by the Senate through the passage of 54RS03 in March 2020.
