The King dissolved the 37th Cosa and called for a general election by issuing a writ of dissolution on 20 November 2007/XXVIII

Text of the Writ of Dissolution
We, John, by the Grace of God King of Talossa and of all its Realms and Regions, King of Cézembre, Sovereign Lord and Protector of Pengöpäts and the New Falklands, Defender of the Faith, Leader of the Armed Forces, Viceroy of Hoxha and Vicar of Atatürk, having thought fit to dissolve this present thirty-seventh Cosâ of the Kingdom of Talossa, do for that end publish this our Royal proclamation, hereby dissolving the said Cosâ accordingly; and do discharge the Members of that Cosâ from their meeting and attendance thereat from Thursday the twenty-second day of this November instant. And we, being desirous and resolved to have the advice of our people in the Ziu assembled, do hereby make known to all our loyal commons, knights, and nobles our Royal will and pleasure to call a new Cosâ, and do hereby further declare that we have given order that our Secretary of State do forthwith issue out writs and ballots in due form, and according to law, for the election of a new thirty-eighth Cosâ as well as Senators for the provinces of Vuode and Atatürk. Further, it is our desire on this occasion, on our own behalf and that of the entire Talossan nation, most heartily to thank those citizens whose diligent and careful service has made the thirty-seventh Cosâ so pleasant and successful, and to thank Lord Hooligan for his service as our Seneschál during this our first Ziu, and all the members of the Government. And most specially would we thank and congratulate Sir Trotxâ Betiñéir and Sir Fritz von Buchholtz, whose terms in the Senäts, distinguished by such ability loyalty and honour, are now drawing to their close.

Given under our hand Royal at our residence in the city of Centennial in Colorado, on the Feast of Saint Edmund, King of East Anglia and Martyr, this being the twentieth day of November in the year of salvation 2007, of the independence of Talossa the twenty-eighth, and of our reign the first.
