The results of the General Elections are as follows:

Additionally, three new citizens claimed a seat each as per the provisions of 56RZ11:

• Antonio Montagnha and Vitxalmour Axhairsegol, in the first and second Clarks;
• Bråneu Excelsio, from the third Clark onwards.

Both Montagnha and Axhairsegol voted to elect a Seneschal but failed to vote in both Clarks, losing their seat. Nevertheless, their addition made the 57th Cosa the largest by number of seats since the 1988 Constituziun 215-seat Cosa, which gave 10 seats by right to the Seneschal and 5 to the Distain.

Another new citizen, Tric'hard Lenxheir, fell out of the scope of 56RZ11, but was given a seat by the TNC from their own tally, without increasing the number of seats in the Cosa.

Election of a Seneschal

The Cosa proceeded to a the election of a Seneschal between May 1st and 21st. The Free Democrats and Partì da Reformaziun, holding a bare majority in the Cosa, announced their intention to nominate Senator Ian Plätschisch, while the Talossan National Congress supported their own leader, Breneir Itravilatx.

Plätschisch was elected to a second term as Seneschal on a party line vote; all FreeDems and PdR MCs were joined in support by independent Dien Tresplet and new citizen Antonio Montagnha, while TNC, RCT and Axhairsegol supported Itravilatx.
