The second cabinet led by Seneschal Lüc da Schir came to power after elections to the 50th Cosa. Technically it was the third Da Schir cabinet as da Schir became acting Seneschal by default after the resignation of his predecessor, Sir Cresti Siervicül, UrN on 1 January 2017/XXXVIII. Sir Cresti resigned in the aftermath of the elections, the results of which took very long to be certified, to allow his presumptive successor to take over. Da Schir had been Distain under Sir Cresti. Da Schir was re-appointed on 31 January by His Majesty, King John I. The others members of the cabinet only then became ministers.
